The Newport Harbor football team returned to Davidson Field for the first day of Summer football. There were lots of familiar faces in the group, as well as numerous new faces (both players and coaches).

Summer football is a long-standing tradition for all high school football teams. The TARS will be practicing without pads in the month of June and July. Helmets and pads are issued at the end of summer, which marks the beginning of fall. Practice is open to parents/fans and starts everyday at 6:30 a.m. (Varsity/JV) and 2:00 p.m. for the incoming freshman. Each practice starts with Coach Eddie Steele (strength and conditioning), followed by field work and film.
The Varsity/JV group runs in the morning.
6:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
The incoming freshman group runs in the afternoon.
2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
