Newport Harbor (4-3, 0-2) got a reminder that it takes four full quarters to win football games.
After facing Los Alamitos in Sunset League game #1, it did not get much easier as the 6-0 (now 7-0) Edison Chargers showed up with their stingy defense and high-powered offense. Edison compiled over 400 total yards in the game, resulting in a 47-14 win over the Sailors.
Even with a lopsided score, the Tars did show some spark with its passing game. WR (junior) Josiah Lamarque had three catches for 60 yards and a touchdown. WR (senior) Kashton Henjum added another 85 yards on 7 catches and grabbed a touchdown.
Onward and upward for the final three Sunset League games (all winnable games) starting next week vs. Fountain Valley.
